The Making of a Masterpiece: The Autograph Seekers of Bel Air
Phase 11

Autograph Seekers of Bel Air is the first painting to portray General Lee’s impromptu visit to Bel Air and the first to depict Miss Lucy Buck and her sister Nellie.

According to Mort, painting the rocks took more time than anything else. Apparently some details are deceptively hard to paint.
