A Weekend With Historical Artist Mort Künstler

This September, we invite you to join Mort for a very special weekend. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to meet Mort in person, listen to a discussion about his career, attend a print signing, and witness the unveiling of his newest release.

The weekend will kick off the evening of Thursday, September 13th, at the National Archives in Washington, D.C. On this night, the National Archives welcomes Mr. Künstler and Laurie Norton Moffatt, director of the Norman Rockwell Museum in Stockbridge, MA for an illustrated onstage conversation about his career, his inspirations, and the historical research that resulted in his highly-regarded and sought after paintings.

The next day, in Gettysburg, PA,  (less than 2 hour drive from D.C.) Mort will make an appearance at King James Galleries, where you are invited to take a seat in the gallery and enjoy listening to Mort as he takes us on a journey of his remarkable life. This is an intimate presentation given by the artist himself. Following the presentation there will be a brief print signing.

On Saturday, head over to the Washington County Museum of Fine Arts in Hagerstown, MD, where they are hosting a print, giclée, and book signing as well as the Official Release of Mort’s new painting,Absolution Before Victory. This painting commemorates the 150th Anniversary of the Battle of Antietam.

Mort will be making a special presentation on Absolution Before Victory, which will be held on Sunday at the Antietam National Battlefield.

As always, we appreciate your support and hope to see you at one or more of these events!

Mort and Laurie's presentation at the National Archives was a treasure. It was illustrated with slides of Mort's work throughout his career, puncuated by wonderful insights and antidotes. Thank you to the Archives for hosting this event.
