November Appearance and Signing Schedule

The introduction of the Mort Künstler Endowment Fund, the unveiling of Künstler’s 2012 Annual Snow Print, and an appearance and signing at the beautiful Museum of the Shenandoah Valley; three distinguished events that are all taking place in Winchester this weekend.

On Friday, November 16th, you are cordially invited to attend An Evening With Mort Künstler.  The Mort Künstler Endowment Fund for the Timber Ridge School will proudly be introduced at the elegant George Washington Hotel in downtown Winchester.

The Official Release and unveiling of Künstler's 2012 Annual Snow Print is set for Saturday, November 17th at King James Galleries of Winchester. Entitled Shenandoah Strategy, this beautiful painting portrays “Stonewall” Jackson in front of Glen Burnie, currently the site of the Museum of the Shenandoah Valley. Shenandoah Strategy is the first of a series of eight paintings that will be completed in the next two and a half years. The eighth painting will be released on the 150th Anniversary of the end of the Civil War in April 2015 and will be Künstler’s final Civil War print.

On Sunday, November 18th, a book signing and sale will be held at the aforementioned Museum of the Shenandoah Valley, located on Amherst Street in Winchester.

A full itinerary and contact information are listed below. We hope you will join us for one or more of these special gatherings.

 The Mort Künstler Endowment Fund

From the Timber Ridge School:
The Mort Künstler Endowment Fund was created to show our appreciation of Mr. Künstler’s continued commitment and dedication to the students attending Timber Ridge School
. The purpose of the endowment fund is to support the Mort Künstler Residence Hall, located on our campus, and the programmatic needs of the students living within this residence.

Mr. Künstler’s Endowment Fund was established with an initial $10,000 contribution. Additionally, for the entire length of the Künstler ornament program at Timber Ridge School, the School will contribute 20% of the proceeds from each year’s ornament sales to Mr. Künstler’s Endowment Fund.

At An Evening With Mort Künstler, watch Mr. Künstler create a one-of-a-kind sketch which will be auctioned to the highest bidder with all proceeds designated for the Mort Künstler Endowment Fund. Also, each guest will receive a 2012 My Friend, The Enemy ornament.

Seating is limited but is still available at $100 per plate. To reserve your seat with a Visa, MasterCard, or Discover card please call Troy Newbraugh, Director of Development at 540-888-9523 (local) or toll free at 877-877-3026.
