We take a moment...

On Tuesday, September 11, 2001…everything our flag stands for was questioned. As with the rest of the country, we were walking around in a daze, wanting to know what we could do and how we could help.

As a suggestion from our then Sales Manager, Chris Brooks, we published a print of “Old Glory” by Mort Künstler, to be given in exchange for a donation of $25 or more to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund. Each person who made a donation received a signed print by Mort.

Together with the help of our authorized dealers we were able to collect more than $100,000. No one associated with this print (gallery, publisher, or artist) made any money from the sale of this print.

Of course it is no longer available but you can still buy a giclée reproduction of it: Old Glory

May God always Bless America

Mort Künstler signs copies of his print, Old Glory at the Oyster Bay, New York Post Office on September 22, 2001. The print was made available to the public for a $25.00 donation to the American Red Cross. Künstler is being assisted by his daughter, Jane (left) and Paula McEvoy.
