NY1 Online: Painter Describes His New Version Of "Washington Crossing The Delaware"

Inside City Hall’s Josh Robin had artist Mort Kunstler compare and contrast his new painting “Washington Crossing The Delaware” with the original painting by Emanuel Gottlieb Leutze.

  1. Mr. Kuntsler is a great illustrator and a inspiration to me! I admire his historical accuracy and dedication to detail. That's a great painting of Washington crossing the Delaware.

  2. I have had the great priviledge to meet Mort and his works grace my home. His efforts to create factual records of our history help us to separate fact from fantasy. An effort to reproduce history by making it up does little to enhance our understanding. It's the facts of history that insure it's greatness and longevity.
