One of the nation’s leading authorities on Abraham Lincoln and the political culture of the Civil War era, Harold Holzer is a prolific writer and lecturer, frequent television commentator, and admirer of Mort Kunstler’s historical paintings. His conversation with the artist will offer fascinating insights into the creative and technical process of visualizing history. Harold Holzer is the author of forty-six books, including The Civil War in 50 Objects; 1863: Lincoln’s Pivotal Year; and Lincoln: How Abraham Lincoln Ended Slavery in America.
